Dr. Rafla

Lead Veterinarian

Dr. Rafla grew up in Alexandria, Egypt, and graduated from Alexandria University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. He began his veterinary career caring for both large and farm animals, including cows, sheep, and buffalo. In 2000, he moved to Georgia with his wife and daughter and later earned his ECFVG certification from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

Since moving to Georgia, Dr. Rafla has focused primarily on small animal care, treating dogs and cats. His main interests include complex dermatology cases, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. His passion for providing high-quality animal care and his love for his community inspired him to open Vine Animal Hospital in 2017, where he strives to offer pet owners an alternative approach to care—equipping them with the knowledge they need to enhance their pets’ lives.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Rafla enjoys fishing, volunteering at his local church, and spending quality time with his family and their dog, Rocky.
